Italy Led And Smart Lighting Market Is Expected To Expand Significantly

Nov 17, 2017

Researchers at the Milan Polytechnic University in Italy have presented an "efficient and intelligent lighting Report" that describes a scenario in which the Italian led and smart lighting markets are expected to grow at double-digit rates 2020 years ago. This means that in 2020, in addition to the 140 million-euro smart lighting market, the Italian led market is bound to grow by 900 million euros in 2015 and more than 1.2 billion euros.

The Joint trade Association of researchers at Milan Polytechnic University has studied the led propagation and intelligent lighting Program in residential, industrial and public lighting. The research shows that despite the potential of LED technology, the current LED technology still has a lower penetration force. The report also pointed out that 2020 years ago, led and intelligent control system will increase from the original 8% to 42%.

The chart below shows the current market situation in Italy. The store (third-party market) is characterized by the small penetration of LED, intelligent lighting Program of high penetration. In the office, led and smart lighting programs are popular. In contrast, in industry, the growth rate of both is very low. Among them, the largest share is the residential part, the main reason is the LED lights in the rapid expansion of household.

Let's take a closer look at the 2020-year-old Italian lighting market. The number of LED products for home lighting in Italy will reach 400 million. Compared with 2015, the industrial lighting market increased the installation ratio of 80%,led products to 20% of the Italian factory. In public lighting, the number of LED streetlights in 2020 can reach 3.5 million, saving 1TWh of electricity per year (5% of total electricity).

The office of Intelligent Lighting more popular

In the office, led and intelligent lighting market is very broad, they are not only more efficient and more intelligent. The lighting system includes intelligent control and management equipment with a range of more sophisticated sensors and intelligent City service infrastructures.

According to the report, in 2020, Italy will have more than 680,000 households involved in intelligent lighting products (almost 2.7% of the total number of households). Compared with 2015 of 180,000 households, there was a significant increase in the total number of households (0.7%). In the industrial sector, in 2020 there will be 20,000 of small businesses, 770 medium-sized Enterprises and 150 of large enterprises to achieve smart technology, add up to less than 20% of the total number of enterprises. It is expected to improve the penetration of intelligent lighting in business and office. In public lighting, the proportion of streetlights is expected to grow from 3% in 2015 to 8%.
